One Wall in my Kitchen.......

First, Thanks to Kathy over on Life on Lakeshore Drive for featuring my post,
From Snow Buddies to Oh La La and Ladies and Hats, from last week's Bouquet of Talent Party as one of the Most Viewed!
Thanks so much , Kathy !!

Please stop by and visit and maybe link up to this great party!!

Now I am a Victorian Style Gal and I have always dreamed of a Country Victorian looking Kitchen......
Not so easy to do in a 1970's built townhouse!!
After  painting the Kitchen, adding a new border, new counter tops and sink, painting the cabinets and installing new floors and a new light fixture, I am FINALLY HAPPY with my Kitchen......after 36 years!!
After the Remodel last September, I basically threw everything together until I could decorate for Christmas.

Then I went right into Valentines decorations.....
I skipped Easter decor this year in the kitchen and have now been "playing" with returning it to "normal"......
So I decided to show you one wall in the Kitchen which is pretty much the Focus wall, so to speak......

Not long ago, I shared with you the new plates that I bought at Wegman's and the red and yellow doilies found in the Dollar bins at Michaels.......
I love them in my hutch........

Many of you may remember that this "hutch" is made out of a shelf from a child's bedroom set of furniture bought for $5.00 at a Flea Market and a desk bought for $10.00 at a Yard Sale!!
See the yellow plates and that I alternated the red and yellow doilies on the shelves?
These are old Home Interiors prints which I love because of that Country feel they give off......
The wire apple and chicken baskets were bought many years ago at yard sales.......
Loved the salt and pepper shakers and unless you take a picture like this, you can not see that they say "Florida" in the bottom!!!
Those are marble eggs bought at a yard sale.....

Drop those babies on your foot and you could break a toe!!!  I say this from experience!!
The Sweet Rolls sigh was bought at Michaels several years ago.....
Love those doilies........now have you ever seen red and yellow doilies before??????
Last time, I did not have the desk part of this hutch done but now I do so I can show you that....
I kept my little Candy Bar here......

And decided to display this white Tea Set that I have had for some time now ........
The placemat matches the dishes in the hutch from Wegman's.....
A few faux goodies....
The fruit in the Canning Jar Lamp came from Dollar Tree......
 I do love this set.....
I bought these pieces in Marshalls and T.J. Maxx........
 This mug says TEA
I could not find a second mug that said TEA but I did find one that said COFFEE.....
I have to look for more pieces.....

The Fresh Egg sign was 25 cents at a yard sale last Summer......
The little chalkboard sign was made by my youngest son Jim.

It says
 "Dear Mom,
I love you!   Happy Mother's Day!
Love, James"

When he was in grade school , he liked to be called James!!!

 Under the desk/hutch......
These shelves were built for me by my Dad a very long time ago from scrap lumber as my Dad called it.......
Some of my vintage Kitchen stuff......
Love these old looking hooks that I bought several years ago at a little Shop......
Great for hanging a vintage apron on.....
The side of the hutch......
The other side......
Planters Peanuts was founded here in Wilkes Barre.....

I love my Mr. Peanut!!!
Another vintage apron.....
I am debating about painting the frame on this red.......
Another hook with an old Rug Beater and Canning Jar....
This is where I had my Candy Christmas Tree and then my Winter Birdhouse Tree......

I brought back in my yellow milk can which was bought for $5.00 at a Flea market a long time ago.....

And yes, it was yellow when I bought it!!!
The red handled scoop was just given back to me a few months ago.  It was my Mother's and my sister had it........
There are lighted LED branches in the arrangement......
And with that, I love it lit up ........

I love how it looks in the evening......

I have enjoyed  " playing" in my Kitchen......
I hope you will come back when I share more of my Country Victorian Kitchen!!

As many of you know,  I suffered a Crisis when it came to whether I would continue to Blog or not .....

I did decide to continue but not to get caught up in the Rat Race that Blogging could be at times.

I felt so far behind with everything in my life that I was beginning to think I was first!

I am now getting caught up and enjoying my home and my life again and I am enjoying Blogging again.

I have reconnected with old friends who I did not have the time to visit before.

I have been so encouraged by all your kind comments and emails that I wanted you all to know how much you have touched my heart!!

Apparently, I am not the only one who had a blogging Crisis and my friend, Dianna over at
Nana Diana Takes a Break, recently did a post, Out With The Old and In With The New, highlighting
another Bloggers Blogging Crisis.

Debbie, whose Blog was  Lakehouse, thought of quitting Blogging but decided not too and decided to start all over again with a whole NEW Blog called,  Seashells and Lavender!

She too is going to continue to Blog but on her own terms......  I hope you will stop by and say Hi! and encourage her the way you all did to me!!

Speaking of new things.......

I am going to start to do a Series on my Blog called  " Spotlight On......"

In these posts, I will be shining the Spotlight on either another Blogger, a Place or just Something  that interests me......

I hope you will join me later this week when I shine a "Spotlight On" one of my favorite Bloggers......
