My Colorful Back Yard Patio 2015, Part 2

My Back Yard Patio is very colorful this year........
I shared this half of the patio with you in a previous past.......
And this little seating area......
Click HERE if you missed that post........

Today, I want to share the other half of the Patio...........
This is  Joe's Side because this is where he always sits.......
It is a bit of a smaller area and the awning does not cover all of it because we left an open space where we could put up a ladder providing access to the roof if need be.......
I have also added a Potting Bench to this space but I will get to that soon.......
I do want to mention that you may see what is a single bed headboard behind the chair.  I am deciding what I am going to do with it when I have more time to Dabble........
Let me explain why the faux brick treatment looks like it does at the end of the Patio......

Several years ago, I decided to paint "Bricks" on those concrete slabs but  the last 2 vicious Winters that we have had , caused ice to build up  from dripping water caused by melting snow and ice . The ice then formed a "Dam",pushing water toward the house so we had to break up the ice with big ice picks and ice choppers.

This side of the Patio is more exposed to the elements so it sustained more damage from the ice......

Hence, the damage to the "Brick" treatment. Not quite sure what we will do here but I will talk about that in a later post.....
So here is where Joe sits.......
I even hang things on the outside walls as much as I do on the inside of the house!!!
This mirror was a yard sale find a few years ago and was originally red and I spray painted it white......
Flameless Candles set on a timer rest on the sconce arms.........
And Bird Houses that cost $1.00 at Michaels that I painted on the shelf!
Love the various Reflections of the Garden in the mirror!!
A Hanging Pot with a New Guinea Impatiens planted in it hangs in the corner......
Behind the pot is an embellished Dollar Tree Fly Swatter that took some abuse during a storm last year that I have yet to re-invent!!
The table is part of a set of 3 along with 2 chairs that I have used as Plant Stands........

One chair on the other side of the Patio......
And one out near the steps in the Garden.......
There is now a canning jar filled with some silk flowers here as I moved the Bunny to the Potting Bench because of a Squirrel........

Tell you later.......
At the base of the table is a pot filled with Petunias.......
Next to the table is a file cabinet that I painted last year and store garden tools and other things in.......
The needs a bit of a touch up since it is exposed to the elements..........

On top of the Cabinet rests a pot planted with a Geranium.......
The mats on the table and  file cabinet are place mats from The Dollar Tree.......

Now over to the fence area of this side of the Patio.......
The Tree in the corner is a Tree that I bought many years ago after Christmas in Target for about $10 and I have it lit up at night which I will share in another post on the Garden and Patio at night.......
This is a Baker's Rack that I got from my Neighbor and spray painted Bubble Gum Pink!!
It had a wood shelf that I had sprayed with a sealer thinking that it would protect it from the rain but we have had SO MUCH Rain here that the wood warped so I came up with another idea.........
I took the measurements and had Joe go to a Glass Dealer and had them cut a Plexiglass piece to fix here!!!
Perfect !!!

And now I just use a rubber wiper to brush away any water.......

So here is how the Baker's Rack turned Potting Bench looks...........
I had to move the wood Bunny that I originally had on the table here after a squirrel who decided to use the top of the rack as a launching pad to jump on the roof knocked off the Angel that was here and it smashed to bits!!!!
A Dollar Tree butterfly is hung on the rack.........
On the plexiglass shelf is a Garden Angel, some Doo Dad's.........
  And a potted Petunia.......
The Spray Bottle is a mixture of Dawn Dish Washing Liquid and water. I used this on the trees in the yard to kill the Gypsy Moth Caterpillars that were eating all the leaves!!

We have had a extreme Caterpillar infestation here in NEPA and they have destroyed many trees in the mountains and around neighborhoods here prompting serious Spraying of them to be scheduled for next year !!

They have most likely ruined the Fall Foliage Season in the Pocono Mountains!!!
Another nice thing about the plexiglass shelf is that it provides coverage and protection from the rain for the shelves below it!
There are 2 shelves on the bottom of the Rack........
Stored on them are garden supplies, containers for starting seeds , sprinkling cans and an Enamel Pot filled with Potting Soil!
I used Stickers from Michaels that were on Clearance for $1.00 to spell out what I wanted on the Pot........
I am pleased with how this came out!!
I bumped out the end of the Patio on each side using Pavers and bricks several years ago and use pots and plant stands to create a divider between the Patio and the Cottage Garden..........
Next to the Potting Bench, is a potted Alberta Spruce........
Notice I hung simple grape vine wreaths from Dollar Tree with vines that I bought at a yard sale woven through them on the Lattice that is attached to our chain link fence with zip ties for privacy........
 Next to the Potted Spruce.........
Is a plant stand that got a fresh coat of blue paint this season........
Since it is fairly small to put potted plants on the first 2 shelves.........
I have a Bird house that I bought at a Flea Market on the top shelf.......
And a Gnome on the second shelf.......
And potted Begonias on the bottom shelf!!

Next is my Gnome Garden in a Whiskey Barrel!!
I used 2 gnomes, crystals from Dollar Tree and plants from the Garden.......
Adds a bit of Whimsy!!
At the base of the stand that the whiskey barrel rests on are more Gnome Goodies.........
This is a sweet little thing that I bought at a yard sale last year that I don't think I never got to show you!!
And there is a gnome near by!
Next to that is a Bird House stand that I made......
I think I may be painting this Bird House with some nice bright colors when I go PART TIME in 3 weeks!!!!

If you missed my Announcement about that and my 6 Month Update on my One Little Word for this year, LIVE, please click HERE
And at the base of the Bird House Stand is a pot filled with marigolds, lobellia and alysum.
So there you have it!!!
What our patio looks like this season!!
We have had a LOT of rain here !!!

Did you have a nice July 4th Holiday?????

I was off the weekend so we had the kids over for "Cook In's" on Saturday and Sunday and we were able to watch the local County's Fire Works Display from our Front Porch!!

So we had a great weekend even though it poured buckets on the 4th but cleared around 6pm!!

I am having my Knee injected on the 7th so I will then be off for a few days!

I have been working hard and re-arranging and re-organizing my Craft Room for several months now.

In my next post, I will share all that I did in my Craft Room and join in the Annual Linky Party .....
