The 7 foot slim tree that was here in this corner since Christmas ( I also decorated it for Valentine's Day) is now packed away and the round table is back in this corner.....
Some Birds, Bunnies and a Nest.....
The table is set for an Easter Tea.....
Easter plaques hanging on the Window Divider......
The Butterfly is from The Dollar Tree....
More Bunnies on the Marble topped Plant Stand.....
An Egg Box that I embellished a few years ago......
With the Lamp Lit.....
My friend Jan, over at Maison Newton , asked to get a better view of my Wall Clock so these pics are for you, Jan!!
This clock was gifted to me by Joe who bought it in J.C.Penney's a few years back.....
Being the creature of Balance and Symmetry that I am, I have a shelf on the other side of the wall to "balance" things out!!
Now,over in the other corner by the Kitchen.......
For Easter, I did an arrangement of lilies , pussy willows and dog wood with a Bunny on the handle......
I have had the best time decorating this basket for each Holiday since my friend, Anne Marie gifted it to me!!
Thanks again, my friend!!
I always have my Joy rock displayed so I reminds me of my One Little Word for 2013 of Joy
And I have added my LED branches to the basket.....
On the stereo, ( yes, I still have my original stereo from 1978), I have some of my Bearington Bunnies.....
Some of my vintage Calling Cards......
And another Bunny and some cute egg baskets ..........
This Easter Tree was bought at Wal Mart after Christmas several years ago for $5.00 at 75% off.....
I added 2 sets of Egg Lights from A.C.Moore......
And decorated it with a lot of Easter Ornaments.....
I have had this Bunny Village for many years. I bought it at JoAnn Fabrics initially and picked up some pieces at yard sales and flea markets.......
Here are some close ups.....
I do something similar to this for Halloween with a Halloween Silver Tree and my Halloween Village.....
And you just knew that I had to show it to you all lit up, didn't you?????
The Tree.....
The Village......
This is a little table that I have between the Buffet and the Hutch......
More bunnies......
And the top of the Hutch.....
Easter Carolers from the Christmas Tree Shop.....
And more Easter plaques on this Window Divider......
Easter is not a Paid Holiday for us where I work but it has fallen on my weekend off so I will be off . I have not been off Easter Weekend for several years so I am looking forward to it....
Next up, I will be sharing my Kitchen decorated for Easter .........
I just want to touch on one more thing....
I want to THANK everyone for all their words of encouragement as I start my Weight Loss Journey.
Last week , I did a post "I 've Been Challenged" revealing that I need to lose weight to postpone a Total Right Knee Replacement.
I am making this journey not about being thin because I have never really been thin my entire life but about being healthy. I have been grossly over weight for 15 years and it has taken a toll on me. As a Nurse, you would think I know better but statistically, nurses, especially those who work steady night shift like myself, tend to be over weight. Studies blame the stress, strange hours and abnormal eating habits that go with the job.
This is not an excuse, I know. So I have bought a great exercise bike which I will show all of you in a future post and the decorating changes that I made to make room for this, so not my style, piece of necessary equipment. I am cycling my butt off or at least I hope I am....
I have also changed my diet but because of my IBS , this has also caused me some grief . I have not left the house since last Wed. I do not know if I have a GI bug, an exacerbation of my IBS or both, which I think is the case.... I hope that my system will soon adjust to some of the dietary changes that I have made....
Truly , because I need to go back to work and NOT be in pain and be cramping free and out of the bathroom for at least more than a half hour.... Have I said too much???? LOL!!
I promised that I will keep you all informed of my progress and I am not going it alone. My dear Friend, Anne Marie, started her weight loss journey over 8 weeks ago and has lost a whopping 28 pounds on Weight Watchers!!! WHOA!! You go , girl!!
So after my Easter in the Kitchen post which will be up at the end of the week, I will do a post on my progress or lack there of which I hope is not the case.....
Thanks again for your words of encouragement!!
So I hope you will come back and visit a bit with me...

Wow- What a lot of pretty Easter things. I have that same pink tree and love it. You have an Easter village, too? You are just blessed to be able to have and enjoy the things you surround yourself with.
Good luck to you on your weight loss journey and good for your girlfriend- How wonderful for her and what an encouragement for you! xo Diana
Your Easter carolers are the cutest things! I have never seen any before, but we don't have a Christmas shop anywhere near here. I think the closest one is in Dallas, about 500 miles away. Keep pedaling..lol! hugs, Penny
Debbie you have so much amazing stuff...do you ever give local tours ? As in real physical tours to kids or people ? It is truly amazing; the decorations and collections that you post. I think I'd pay to get in with my grandkids! ( BUT I WOULD KEEP SAYING "DON"T TOUCH THAT!!! : )
As to saying too much good luck and prayers...! :)
Everything looks so beautiful,Debbie. I am working on my Easter village collection. I have found several pieces at Goodwill. I also want to get some of the Easter plaques you found at Dollar Tree.
Once again, you never cease to amaze me at what all you can accomplis.....even when you are sick!
I do hope you start feeling better and keep peddling that bike girl! I want you healthy, happy and living to at least 100 :)
Every season at your home is totally unreal. You definitely put me to shame, your Easter decor is amazing. Thanks for joinig The Scoop. Hugs, Marty
Debbie, so sorry you are having health problems. I don't know how you do all of this holiday decorating. What an amazing display of treasures. laurie
Hi Debbie,
What a delightful post. YOu have so many pretty Easter treasures...bunnies, sparkly lights, golden eggs, pinks, blues and yellows.
It all is so festive.
Blessings and Happy Easter,
Carolynn xo
Wow Debbie your decorations are incredible! Where do you store all you things!? I've never seen an Easter village- or a lighted Easter Tree. What fun! I love your Easter tea table. Beautiful!
I need so much to lose weight too. You have encouraged me so much. I will pray for you as I pray for me!

Debbie Dear, I see that you are the one who has the house on the block that ALL the kids and neighbors go over to visit just to see how you've decorated!!! It's like a Disney show in there!! The Easter town is so cute...and that magnificent lamp...oh how gorgeous!! Your Joe did a terrific picking job on that lovely clock too. Sure hope your knee doesn't pain you too much and that you are feeling MUCH better elsewhere! Keep your chin up! Each pound you loose as you bike those inches off will make your knee feel much better!
Blessings,
Doni
Hi Debbie. I hope you are feeling better. It's so hard when you try to do good with one thing and it bothers another thing. All your Easter photos are so pretty, I love when you light them up at night. Your house must just glow. I love that butterfly you got at $$ Store. I hope I can find one this year..Happy Thursday..Judy
Hello Debbie, Your Easter display is enchanting! I am so put to shame by your ability to make every season festive. I don't know how you find the time (and I don't have a job outside the home!)
I'm sorry to hear about the IBS, that must be awful. I hope you're feeling better day by day. I'm rooting for you and the weight loss. I know what you mean about trying to fit exercise equipment into a small house...my youngest son's bedroom is now my workout room. Poor guy, I don't know where he'd sleep if he wanted to come back home. And I haven't found a way to make it look 'nice' either. It's such an ugly machine, lol. The former owner told me he used it as a closet of sorts, hanging clothes all over it. Maybe some garland??
Congratulations to your friend on her weight loss, too, that's phenomenal. Keep up the good work, Debbie and I hope you feel better already!
Debbie, You have been really busy! All of your Easter decor is beautiful and I appreciate you sharing it at the Open House party.
xx,
Sherry
Hi Debbie,
Another pretty tree to admire and the bunny village is too cute! I wish you much success with your weight loss program and I hope you are feeling well soon. I miss my bike! I haven't been able to bike since the first of February but soon, I hope to get back on it. Happy Spring and thanks for sharing at my HOME.
Blessings,
Sandi
Oh I adore all the bunnies!!! And I especially like the Easter Village... too cute Debbie! I have never seen egg lights before - what a great idea as more and more Easter trees seem to be popping up!
I do wish you the best in your weight loss journey - I hope you are feeling better soon. There are many people at work (a hospital too) who have a bug; seems to always come with the change of seasons.
Take care.
Your Easter village and bunnies are so sweet!
My oldest son is on a strict diet. He has lost lots of weight and sticks to it religiously!
I wish you lots of luck with your diet and exercise plan! I am trying to eat healthier too but it is tough! I hope your health problems will disappear! I hear people say that is true! Best of wishes to you!
Hi Debbie! I love your pretty Easter village. I've been putting one together over the past few weeks from stuff I've found at Salvation Army. They must save all their seasonal stuff to put out at once because I've found a ton of really cute Easter things! Good luck on your weight loss journey! I really need to start up as well before another baby comes along!
Blessings,
Sarah
So many Easter pretties to look at and I haven't even gotten to your kitchen yet! I think my favorites are those bunny egg cups!
Good luck with your weight loss. I too am having a struggle right now, having put on over 30 lbs. when I broke my foot. Now my blood pressure is up so I'm also on the diet and exercise train. Good luck to us both!
Have a lovely weekend,
Robin
I'm with Debra on this one - you should be giving local tours!!!
I have never seen so many pretty Easter decorations in one place before - you could make a killing!!!
Happily visiting from Life on Lakeshore drive,
With hugs,
Suzan
Debbie, good luck with your diet and exercise program. And Happy Easter to you and your family.
Your decorations are AWESOME, Debbie..I especially love the tree.
Over from Tablescaper...

Oh Debbie, thank you SO much for posting those photographs of your beautiful wall clock. I love the color, rich wood finish, the traditional design, the little glassed-in curio shelves on either side! What a wonderful gift. I haven't yet pulled out my broken tabletop version of a grandfather clock, but I will as soon as I get some things put back together in my family room, which is right now, along with the dinette and kitchen area (all open to one another), rather a mess. Speaking of which, I hope you do not mind me using some photographs from your blog (with links back to the specific posts here) of your tea tabletop and/or your mantle in a post I am working on right now about inspirations for how to deal with a recently acquired Queen Anne style console table. I have proportion issues because it is much shorter than my dining table and dwarfed by my dining chairs, which are about a foot taller than the console table! But I don't want to move it, so I'm looking for solutions for (1) decorating the table top and (2) trying to disguise as much as possible the height/scale differences in my dinette furniture. You are such an expert as creating a multi-layered look and I think that might hold the key to solving some of my issues, just now sure I can do it.
All a round-about way to say I am now seriously considering adding my old non-working wind-up clock to what eventually ends up on the Queen Anne console table, and you started it all, girlfriend! LOL!
Take care of yourself, and I sure hope your feel better real soon. I have embarked on a quest to drop 10 pounds, or whatever I can, between March 22 and April 23, when I am headed to Las Vegas baybee, for a little 3-day get-away with a friend young enough to be my daugher, EEK! Got to drop some pounds just to keep up with her and not get constantly winded... Am with you in spirit, Debbie.
Jan
P.S. Geez, forgot to tell you how much I am in love with your various bunnies! One particular moss bunny in your kitchen, I WANT one like that! And your ceramic bunnies throughout the house. I'm obviously not shopping at the right places, for I've not seen any bunnies near yours in looks and personality. Haven't touched my mantle or anything else, for that matter, with Easter/spring decorations; with the crappy snowy and below-seasonal normal temps here I haven't felt in the mood at all! But seeing your home filled with all of these incredible Easter/spring vignettes makes me see how lazy I'm being :)
Jan
You're just amazing! What a great celebration you create for your family. I'm sure they love it--and I know they treasure you! :)
Wow, as always I enjoyed looking at your beautiful decorations! I love all of those adorable bunnies. Thank you so much for sharing at A Bouquet of Talent!! Just followed you on Networked blogs, too. :)
Have a Blessed and Happy Easter!!
xoxo
